ยาสมุนไพรหรือไฟโตเทอราปิเป็นการศึกษาพฤกษศาสตร์และการใช้พืชเพื่อการรักษาโรคหรือการเสริมอาหาร ซึ่งวิธีการเตรียมสมุนไพรได้แก่ การกลั่นด้วยไอน้ำ การแช่ การต้ม การหมักและการสกัดด้วยแอลกอฮอล์ โดยมากการใช้ยาสมุนไพรเป็นยาทาเฉพาะที่ เช่น ครีม โลชั่น และน้ำมันนวด เป็นต้น

Abstract

Herbal medicine or Phytotherapy is a botanical study and use of plants for the treatment of diseases or dietary supplements. Methods to prepare herbal medicine are steam distillation, immersion, boiling, fermenting, and alcohol extraction. The use of herbs is a topical drug, such as cream, lotion and massage oil.
