The Causal Model of Factors Influencing Teachers’ Learning Management in School Under the Secondary Education Service Area of Nakhon Pathom

Abstract

 

The objectives of this research were 1) to study causal factors model affecting teachers’ learning management in schools under the Office of the Secondary Education Service Area of Nakhon Pathom, and 2) to study the guidelines for promoting teachers’ learning management in schools under the Office of the Secondary Education Service Area of Nakhon Pathom. The sample consisted of 342 teachers in schools under the Office of the Secondary Education Service Area of Nakhon Pathom, and 5 key informants. Cluster Random Sampling was used. The research used both quantitative and qualitative research methods. The research instruments were questionnaires and interview forms. Quantitative data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) while qualitative data was analyzed by content analysis.

The results were as followed.

1) The school environment has a positive direct influence on digital literacy and an indirect influence on teachers' learning management at a statistical significance level of .05. Organizational culture has a positive direct influence on digital literacy and an indirect influence on teachers' learning management at a statistical significance level of .05. And digital literacy has a positive direct influence on teachers' learning management at a statistical significance level of .05.

2) The guidelines for promoting teachers' learning management were as followed. 2.1) The school environment should be safe both physical and mental health, support diversity, and create a circumstance where students can fully express and develop themselves. 2.2) The organizational culture in the school should be well-supported with administrators, flexible, collaborative, innovative in theschool. We should emphasize to develop the full potential of personnel. 2.3) Digital learning should focus on interactive learning, develop teachers' skills, understanding and ability to use technology in learning management. (Digital Literacy). 2.4) The school curriculum should emphasize content integration, technology, life skills. It should be continuously improved, and contain a variety of measurements to create motivation for learning.
