This study aims to find factors affecting gold import and export of Thailand. Monthly secondary data was collected from January 2005 to September 2014. The study applies simultaneous-equation model and is analyzed by Two-Stage Least Squares (2SLS). The result shows that gold import is positively related to core inflation, gold futures and SET Index at a statistical significance level of 0.05. However, spot price and foreign exchange rate at the previous month are negatively related at a statistical significance level of 0.10 and 0.05 respectively. In addition, gold export is positive related to gold spot at a statistical significance level of 0.05. However, policy interest rate, Manufacturing Production index (MPI) and gold futures are shown to be negatively related at a statistical significance level of 0.10.
