Abstract

This research had the objectives 1) to develop a recorder practice skill training set based on the Kodaly concept to achieve an efficiency standard of 80/80, 2) to compare the basic recorder playing skills of students after learning with the recorder practice skill training set based on the Kodaly concept against the 80 percent criterion, and 3) to study students' satisfaction with the recorder practice skill training set based on the Kodaly concept. The sample group consisted of 40 Mathayom Suksa 2/1 students from the Demonstration School of Kasetsart University, Kamphaeng Saen Campus, Research and Development Center for Educational Innovation, in the second semester of the 2023 academic year. The sample was obtained through simple random sampling by drawing lots. This was an experimental research study using the One Group Post-test Only Design. The research instruments consisted of three recorder practice skill training sets, a recorder performance assessment form, and a questionnaire on students' satisfaction with the recorder practice skill training set. The data were analyzed using basic statistics.

The research results revealed that

1) the development of the recorder practice skill training set based on the Kodaly concept to meet the efficiency standard of 80/80 showed an actual efficiency of 80.58/89.00, which was higher than the predetermined criterion of 80/80.

2) The comparison of students' recorder playing skills after learning with the recorder practice skill training set based on the Kodaly concept against the 80 percent criterion showed that students achieved a performance level of 87.04 percent, which met the criterion set at 80 percent.

3) The analysis of students' satisfaction with the recorder practice skill training set based on the Kodaly concept showed that the overall level of student satisfaction with the recorder practice skill training set based on the Kodaly concept was at a high level ( = 4.35, S.D. = 0.84).
