Abstract

The main objective is to create an efficient space for the internal operations of the distribution center by applying the theory of Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) pattern in layout design. The research objective is to determine the optimal spacing for the operations within the distribution center through a comparative analysis of three different layout plans. The results indicate that the first plan has the shortest distance for the flows with a total distance of 2,876.31 meters. To improve the suitability of the layout plan for practical operations, the FSN analysis method was applied to group products by frequency, and prioritize their importance by using activity relationships together with the Systematic Layout Planning Pattern (SLP).
