publication ethics
⚠️The Journal of Management Science, Kasetsart University, places great importance on the ethics and roles of the key parties involved in producing the Journal of Management Science, Kasetsart University. These parties include Author, Journal Editor, and Reviewer. Therefore, the Editorial Board has established the following ethical requirements and roles for those involved:
▶️Author
- 1. The manuscript of the article must be an original work that has never been previously published or disseminated in any journal.
- 2. The author must report the factual results obtained from the research, and must not conceal, distort, or provide false information.
- 3. If any text from the work of others is used for citation to compose one's own article, a complete list of references must be provided.
- 4. The author must write the research article correctly according to the specified format, by studying the examples provided on the journal's website.
- 5. The author must revise the article in accordance with the recommendations of the peer reviewers (experts) and the editorial board.
- 6. The author agrees to allow the editorial board to edit the article in order to make the work complete and comply with the conditions specified by the editorial board.
▶️Journal Editor
- 1. The Editor is responsible for considering and checking the article, including the writing format, completeness, and quality of the article, before starting the peer review process by experts for publication in the journal under their responsibility.
- 2. The Editor must use academic reasoning in considering the article, free from bias towards the author.
- 3. The Editor must not disclose the information of the author and the reviewers to others until the evaluation process by the peer reviewers is complete.
- 4. The Editor must have no conflict of interest with the author, the reviewers, or the editorial team.
- 5. The Editor must not publish articles that have been previously published or disseminated in any form elsewhere.
- 6. The Editor must not use the article or the journal as their own academic work or for commercial benefit.
- 7. The Editor must seriously check the article for plagiarism using a reliable program. If there is empirical evidence of plagiarism, the Editor must stop the evaluation process, contact the author to request clarification, or reject the publication of that work.
▶️Reviewer
- 1. The Reviewer must not disclose any information about the submitted article to unrelated individuals throughout the entire evaluation period.
- 2. The Reviewer must have no conflict of interest with the author, nor any involvement in the work, or any relationship that would prevent them from evaluating and providing recommendations independently.
- 3. The Reviewer should evaluate the article within their area of expertise, based on the content of the article, and not involve personal opinions in the evaluation.
- 4. The Reviewer must identify important research work relevant to the article being evaluated in cases where the author has failed to include the necessary citations.
- 5. If the Reviewer finds that the article under evaluation contains content that is duplicated or similar to other works, they must immediately inform the Editor.
