The Relationship between Perceived Workload and Job Burnout of the Ground Service staff at Suvarnabhumi Airport

Abstract

          The objectives of this research were 1) to study the perceived workload of ground service staff at Suvarnabhumi Airport. 2) to study the job burnout of ground service staff at Suvarnabhumi Airport. 3) to compare demographic data with perceived workload of ground service staff at Suvarnabhumi Airport. and 4) to study the relationship between perceived workload and job burnout of ground service staff at Suvarnabhumi Airport. The quantitative method was employed to conduct this research, using a questionnaire to gathering data with the 400 samples who are ground service staff at Suvarnabhumi Airport. The statistics were used to analyze the data: frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The t-test, One-way ANOVA and Pearson's Product Moment  Correlation were used to test the hypothesis.
          The results of the study showed that 1) The perceived workload with a total mean of 3.35, which was at a moderate level. 2) The job burnout with a total mean of 2.93, which was at a moderate level. 3) the comparison of perceived workload classified by age, status, monthly income, there was a significant difference at 0.05 level in the  perceived workload. And 4) the relationship between perceived workload and job burnout, there was a statistical relationship at the level of significance 0.01. The relationship level was at a moderate level.
