The Effects of Transformational Leadership, Perceived Organizational Support and Work Engagement on Innovative Work Behavior amongst Supervisors

Abstract

          This study was quantitative research that aimed to analyze the effects of transformational leadership, perceived organizational support, and work engagement on innovation work behavior. The questionnaire was used to collect data. The sample consisted of 210 supervisors working in an automotive parts manufacturing company in Hemaraj Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate, Rayong. The statistics used for analyzing the data were frequency, percentage and using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) for hypothesis testing. The findings were after the model was modified; the model was fit with the empirical data with CMIN/DF = 1.82, GFI = 0.91, CFI = 0.96, RMR = 0.02, and RMSEA = 0.06. The findings from path analysis revealed that the perception of organizational support has a positive influence on supervisors' work engagement. In addition, transformational leadership and perceived organizational support have a positive influence on work behaviors that promote innovation.
