Approaches for Academic Administration to Promote Active Learning in Omnoisophonchanupatham School

The purpose of this research were 1) to examine current and desirable conditions of academic administration to promote active learning in Omnoisophonchanupatham school, and 2) to present the approaches of academic administration to promote active learning in Omnoisophonchanupatham school. The population in this research were 85 school administrators and teachers. And there were 66 respondents, representing 82.50 percent. The research instruments were the questionnaires. The reliability of the questionnaire was 0.96. And the semi- structured interviews. The statistical analysis of data were percentage, arithmetic mean (µ), standard deviation (σ), the modified priority needs index (PNI Modified) and content analysis.
The research results were found that
1) The current conditions of academic administration to promote active learning in Omnoisophonchanupatham school in overall was at the high level. And the desirable conditions of academic administration to promote active learning in Omnoisophonchanupatham school in overall was at the highest level. The order of the priority needs index showed the teaching management in educational institution was at the highest level.
2) The approaches of academic administration to promote active learning in Omnoisophonchanupatham school were: (1) The curriculum development of educational institution found that that the curriculum was adjusted to be appropriate for learners and society and the curriculum was created to enable learners to develop competence, (2) The teaching management in educational institution found that it promoted the use of various techniques, methods, and learning management activities and opportunities for students to engage in hands-on practice, (3) The measurement, evaluation and transfer of learning outcome found that it promotes a variety of measurement and evaluation based on real situations and the preparation of information to be used as data for student development, (4) The development and use of media technology for education found that it promoted teacher development and promoted the development and use of technological media.
