Abstract

This article aims to explain and create an understanding of the Canvas Business Model in private schools. The Canvas Business Model is an essential and interesting tool for business planning across various professions for profit-oriented businesses and the education sector. It illustrates the potential for success in private schools by elevating their quality through a business plan that focuses on the needs of their target audience.

This article emphasizes the importance of using the Canvas Business Model for managing and developing educational resources in schools, with a focus on the following nine components:
1) Customer Segments, 2) Value Propositions, 3) Channels, 4) Customer Relationships, 5) Revenue Streams, 6) Key Resources, 7) Key Activities, 8) Partnerships and 9) Cost Structures.

            The implementation of the Business Model Canvas (BMC) in private schools enables administrators and teachers to have a clear strategic planning overview, enhancing operational efficiency and systematically improving educational quality. The most crucial component is the Value Proposition, which defines the school's unique strengths delivered to students and parents, creating differentiation and fostering confidence in the quality of education. However, an essential aspect that requires attention is managing stakeholders, as schools must address diverse needs. Focusing too much on a particular group may create gaps in development. A concrete approach is to adapt the BMC to suit the school's context by utilizing insights from stakeholders and fostering collaboration with various sectors. This ensures that educational management is optimized and aligned with future educational trends.
